Cape Cod Coast Guard Headquarters
9"x12" Oil on Panel. After spending a couple of days in Eastham on Cape Cod working on a commission, I had a chance to explore the Cape Cod National Seashore. A couple of hours before sunset, I came upon a stunning view of the Coast Guard Headquarters buildings. As I painted, the sky darkened and a fog bank rolled in and out repeatedly every few minutes giving me many ghostly images of these majestic white buildings.
