A Rose is a Rose is a Rose

9" x 12", Oil on Panel
On a Springtime trip to the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts, I spent a sunny morning painting in the Berkshire Botanical Gardens rose garden. That morning was spent with about a dozen mostly volunteer gardeners fluffing the turf and roses. As I was scouting the grounds, I found a really nice vantage point when this old weathered shed and the footpath meandering between the roses lined up to create this composition.
